ABOUT THE SUMMIT

Gather with us live & online July 20th, 2025 for our FREE One-Day Summit to explore the power of somatics to heal developmental trauma and restore wholeness with internationally recognized leaders in somatic-based approaches to trauma healing and recovery.

In this FREE One-Day online event you’ll gain practical tools and insights into healing trauma, fostering secure relationships, enhancing regulation skills, and expanding resilience for yourself and others. We’ll explore how not just trauma is transmitted but also how to fully heal using the tools of somatic, body-centred therapies.

You will learn how trauma influences physical, emotional, and relational health across generations and discover somatic techniques to break these patterns. Plus discover embodiment practices that support self-regulation and co-regulation, and the power of somatic movement to address attachment defence processes’ relationship to trauma. We’ll also examine what resistance might be telling us about what is happening in the relational dynamic, and how to honor and work with what is revealed.

Ideal for therapists, coaches, and individuals on a healing journey, this summit provides a comprehensive understanding of how to compassionately work with the complex emotions, sensations and psychological states associated with developmental trauma.

Register now and discover the power of somatics to heal developmental trauma and support the return to wholeness for yourself and others.

Radical Love as a Path to Healing Developmental Trauma

A 75-MINUTE EXPERIENTIAL SESSION

In this heartfelt session, writer, therapist, and community healer Kai Cheng Thom invites us to explore the transformative power of radical love in healing developmental trauma. Through storytelling, reflective prompts, and relational practice, Kai Cheng offers a framework for reclaiming belonging and safety—both within ourselves and in community. Grounded in queer and trans wisdom, this session emphasizes compassion, connection, and the courage it takes to move toward healing in a world shaped by systemic harm.

Unwinding Birth and Infancy Traumas

A 75-MINUTE EXPERIENTIAL SESSION

Martha shares her journey through birth challenges and somatic work with babies experiencing cord entanglements, brain injuries, breathing reversals, and more. How do these psychophysical challenges transform families? What does "It's never too late for a happy childhood" mean?

Hear examples from her upcoming book Dynamic Embodiment of Freedom - releasing emotional and physical blocks across the lifespan. Discover how cell-brain-hormonal connections from birth shape our personalities forever. As her mother Rev. Dr. Margaret Ruth Eddy said: "We die the way we live." Find grace in facing developmental challenges at any age.

Where It All Began: Reclaiming the Nervous System After Early Trauma

A 75-MINUTE EXPERIENTIAL SESSION

Discover how early life trauma shapes your nervous system — and what you can do to heal it.

In this experiential webinar, you’ll gain practical Somatic tools to gently process developmental trauma and release long-held patterns of fear, disconnection, and overwhelm.

Whether you’re a healing professional or on your own journey, this session will offer new insights into how early wounds live in the body — and how to begin repairing them from within. Walk away with embodied skills you can apply right away — and a deeper understanding of how true healing begins.

Dr. Arielle Schwartz

2:15pm - 3:30pm ET (U.S. Eastern Time)

Navigating Barriers to Self-Compassion: Understanding the Approach-Avoidance Conflict

A 75-MINUTE EXPERIENTIAL SESSION

Despite our deepest human needs for connection, there are times when we push away the people that we love. Many of us carry within us conflicting needs for closeness and separateness. This is true, even if we did not grow up with developmental trauma. However, when we have experienced relational wounds growing up, this inner dilemma can become amplified leading to approach-avoidance conflicts. When unrecognized, this can sabotage our healing. Learn more about this process and steps to navigate this process when it shows up in the therapeutic relationship.

Dr. Amber Elizabeth Gray

4:00pm - 5:15pm ET (U.S. Eastern Time)

Healing Developmental Trauma: The Unspoken Roots of Safety & Trust

A 75-MINUTE EXPERIENTIAL SESSION

Human development is a collaborative dance between our inner landscape and outer environment. Everything we experience is reflected in our bodies and their movement. Drawing from the presenters Polyvagal-informed Somatic & Dance Movement Therapy framework, this 75-minute experiential class is an embodied introduction to Yield as the foundation of our development, grounded receptivity and humanness. A brief overview of the relevance of this foundational state and action from scientific and psycho-spiritual developmental perspectives for healing developmental trauma is grounded in embodied practice.

Learning Objectives:

  • Describe the role of Yield as a foundational state in human development and its relevance to healing developmental trauma.

  • Recognize how Polyvagal-informed Somatic & Dance/Movement Therapy supports grounded receptivity and a sense of safety through embodied experience.

  • Engage in experiential practices that cultivate embodied awareness and deepen understanding of the relationship between movement, developmental stages, and nervous system regulation.

Tracy Jarvis

5:45pm - 7:00pm ET (U.S. Eastern Time)

Transforming Traumatic Experience in Developmental Trauma: Powerful Practices for Everyone

A 75-MINUTE EXPERIENTIAL SESSION

This webinar explores interoceptive and mindfulness-based tools and techniques inspired by and adapted from today’s leading trauma modalities, such as Somatic Experiencing, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Brainspotting, and Internal Family Systems Therapy, to address the lasting and shocking effects of developmental trauma, focusing on healing rather than recounting events.

By presenting the first steps to shifting participants’ relationship to traumatic memory, this webinar emphasizes down-regulation and processing of traumatic shock and activation through mindfulness, embodied, and interoceptive-based techniques. These practices open the door to core belief and identity change.

Join me for an engaging and experiential learning opportunity that blends neuroscience, mindfulness, and interoceptive wisdom. Whether you're interested in your own healing, a seasoned coach or clinician, or new to trauma work, you’ll leave this webinar with practical tools to help yourself or your clients feel safer in their bodies and reclaim a sense of wholeness.
