ABOUT THIS MASTER CLASS

When we’re suffering from chronic pain or ongoing health conditions it’s very easy to get caught up in symptom management and treatment. This process can be exhausting and frustrating with a sense of helplessness as we suffer through an endless array of unpredictable symptoms. These conditions include:

  • Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS)

  • Fibromyalgia

  • POTTS (rapid heartbeat and fainting)

  • Rapid Heart Rate

  • Heart Arrhythmias

  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)

  • Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs)

  • Chronic pain, Regional Complex Pain Syndrome (CRPS)

  • Migraines

  • Vertigo

  • Skin Conditions

  • Asthma

  • Various Auto-immune Disorders

Rather than chasing after individual symptoms, Somatic Experiencing® uncovers the underlying stress conditions that are the root cause of this dysregulation. If these stress conditions can be identified, then they can be effectively treated by utilizing special SE™ techniques.

In this Master Class, Dr. Peter Levine will explore how to identify the syndromes of core dysregulation, understand their coupling dynamics, and learn how to work with them using Polyvagal Theory as a guide. You’ll explore how to identify the various symptoms of Syndromes & Chronic Pain and learn tools to guide those suffering through chronic pain towards vitality.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify the various symptoms of Syndromes & Chronic Pain

  • Assess complex Syndromes & Autonomic Dysregulation

  • Analyze how trauma associated with various factors like early abuse, ongoing stress, and illness can foster Chronic Pain & Syndromes

  • Define the functional mind-body pathways mediated by the Polyvagal system

  • Learn tools to guide Chronic Pain & Syndromal sufferers towards vitality
